This dance inquiry through performance, FRONTIERS | FRONTIÈRES, conceived by Lua Shayenne and performed by the Lua Shayenne Dance Company (LSDC), asks how do we unpack the feelings, thoughts and movements of the experiences of traversing borders or of encountering bordering practices?
Choreographed by Lua Shayenne, featuring LSDC’s exceptional dance interpreters, Joy Irah and Shakeil Rollock, FRONTIERS | FRONTIÈRES explores the impact that the existence of frontiers, in the form of border restrictions and colonial division of land, have on our individual and collective lives.
LSDC is excited to be a part of Harbourfront Centre's Performing Arts Residency! Video projection, lighting and costume making are fully integrated in the development and evolution of this brand new work. LSDC is blessed to have on its team lighting designer Sharon DiGenova, Video Projection/Tech Elements Jacob Niedzwiecki, costume designer Robyn Macdonald!
